My daughter is in a pitching funk. She does well when practicing and then on the mound she throws all balls. Any ideas on how to help her get over this?

I don't really have much experience with coaching Pitchers but perhaps she's nervous when there is a batter at the plate, in which case I would make her practice with a stand-in batter as much as possible until she gets over this. Also, pitching is a "muscle memory" thing so if she's not practicing for at least an hour every night she should be....it takes that level of commitment. If you don't have a good pitching instructor I would also start to look for one in your area as at some point a parent needs to step down and let a professional step in to turn it around. Just my humble opinions.....Good Luck!

My daughter started tossing into a trash can. Have her start w/ 10 softballs at
a distance of 15 ft. when she throws 10 in a row, step back 2 feet and start again until she reaches full distance. Also, she needs the 'killer instinct'
